The Infamous 2018 Harley Davidson FXBB Softail Street Bob

The Ride

The Trev Deeley local ride series is all about picking a spot, jumping on a bike, getting out, and enjoying the ride. You could say adventure or the thirst for discovering the world you live in is what matters the most. But does it really? How about how you look and feel while out on your adventure?

With that being said, we covered all our bases when we picked the head-turning predominantly blacked-out 2018 Harley Davidson Softail StreetBob to get us in and around Sasamat Lake and through forests in beautiful British Columbia's, Belcarra Regional Park.

To start, it was designed for both city cruising and light touring. And with its old-school look, you'll look great while doing it.

Leaving the dealership behind we began our journey in the North Burnaby neighborhoods adjacent to the dealership to avoid a lot of the stop-and-go traffic along the main road. This 60km loop has it all, including breathtaking lake views, wildlife, and everything an adventure rider would seek.

Check out the video below and see what we mean! (Don't forget to like and subscribe)

The Bike

The Softail is one of the motor company’s most raw bikes, which for many, is a blank canvas and one of the easiest to customize. The design of the bike gives the rider a stretched riding position and has a low slung stance. Or as Carle expressed, "has the classic badass look of a Harley-Davidson."

The frame is made of high-quality steel tubing that's been powder coated in a durable black finish. The rear suspension features adjustable shock absorbers with a remote reservoir to keep the bike level when riding over rough terrain or through puddles. It has a custom seat using premium leather upholstery, leaving the rider with long-lasting comfort for lengthy rides.

Belcarra Riding

Touring 30 km away from the dealership, among us were lush forested trails, rocky beaches, and mountain views that make this dense park worthy of a destination spot for riders to explore all year round.

As Carle, mentioned, "If you come in the summer, you will see kayakers, paddle boarders, and beachgoers all over the place as this is a trendy spot." And she was right...White Pine Beach, Buntzen Lake, Maple Beach, and Jug Island Beach are only a few must-see's while riding the Inlet loop.

Adventure Riders not only seek comfort and freedom on their ride but want the connection to the road and the visual appeal of scenery on top of that. We came across a couple of small bears on this trip just off the main road along with their mother. "I can't promise you will see bears like we did, but you'll definitely be seeing wildlife" stated Carle in the video.

When you do finally reach the end of the road, there is a pay parking lot. And it is worth stopping and walking to the end of the pier. If you've gotta get back to the city and are turning right around, you will be happy to know there is no parking fee or permit required to actually enter the park. Parking lots are open daily from 8:30 am to dusk.

Check it out riders, you won't be disappointed.
