Owning and riding a Harley-Davidson has always been my dream. As a kid I used to hear motorcycles roar down the street, and the people riding them looked so badass! Most riders were men, but sometimes I’d see some women riding and it gave me the confidence to think I could too. As I got older, I kept pushing the bike dreams back and saying I needed the money for other things, or I didn’t have time. I kept dreaming, but I made a goal to to get my motorcycle by the time I turned 30. I didn’t want to wait any longer, I wanted to do something for myself.

I started taking steps to my goal with classes with Pro-Ride and joined a women’s riding group (Motogirls of Vancity) where I had the support and encouragement from other like-minded women. I met Joey in that group, who happens to work at Trev Deeley. I told her about my dream. She told me to come by and take a look at what Trev Deeley had to offer.

I had done a bit of research and I knew what I wanted. I met the team at Trev Deeley and they were extremely helpful. They told me about a financing program (New Rider Package) where I could get my motorcycle, the classes through ProRide and my riding gear. I decided to go for it. I’m re-taking the classes to gain confidence in my riding, and I’ve finally purchased my first Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

I am so happy I did it, and thankful for the people who supported my dream.
