This April 2018 we had a Helmet promotion encouraging people to turn in their old worn out helmets for a discount on a new one. When this particular helmet came in the merchandise department knew they had to share it with us in marketing because it's not your average trade in...

"Where do I begin regarding that helmet, well I bought it new back in 1977. If memory is correct I believe that it was sold as a slowmolble/bike helmet. I had a helmet before that one, your typical 60's 70's but when I sold my BSA and bought the Harley I figured it was time to fit in with my new friends that also rode Harleys. I’ve worn that helmet for over three decades and its been in one crash, you can see the crack down the side. I found that it was always comfortable with all of the FLHs I’ve owned. But when I bought my City Bike 06 Night Rod, it didn’t want to stay on my head so I ran out and bought a half helmet, it was better but not that great. The helmet that I just bought from you last month works really well with the City Bike, don’t think I’ll wear it when out on my FLH I got a 70s police helmet for that bike, but you never know. Here a couple of pictures of the old helmet, the photos are of the summer of 78, I believe."
