Stage 1 Performance Upgrade

There is no greater starting upgrade for your Harley than the "Stage 1". It is entirely bolt on. There are 3 steps to the Stage 1 and although some believe they can be performed separately, we highly recommend doing all three at once.

The first step is a free flowing air cleaner like the Screamin' Eagle K & N style system, this kit is a vast improvement over stock & allows your engine to breath better. It now comes with an improved backing plate that eliminates the old breather hoses and provides a cleaner look.

Next is a free flowing exhaust to help vent all those spent gasses. Depending on budget and the look you are going for, you may want to change the entire exhaust from the heads back, or you may just want to change the muffler part of the system. Again Screamin' Eagle makes performance pipes for every Harley on the road.

Lastly we need to re-jet the carburetor or re-map the Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system. With a carb style bike, a Dynojet kit is the best way to provide a stable increase in fuel to go along with the engine's upgraded breathing capabilities. The Dynojet kit itself is upgradeable so when you decide to do additional upgrades all that is needed then is a minor adjustment to the carb. With EFI models, a digital download needs to be performed to re-map the fuel system. This step requires internet access to the factory that is available through Harley-Davidson dealerships.
